Good Luck Schoolies!

For those schoolies that have been nervously awaiting their results - today is a big day! There will be excitement, surprise, relief and for some, disappointment and sadness. Whether you have completed your VCE with or without exams, or VCAL, you should be very proud of your achievements. You survived!

Due to COVID-19 and the move to remote learning, it has been an especially challenging year to undertake VCE. The new learning environment, being unable to see friends and family, and the roller coaster of emotions have had an impact. These challenges are reflected in the ATAR - rather than being strictly about your knowledge. Your potential may not have been recognised, which unfortunately is the nature of the VCE system.

However -

This is the beginning of a new phase in your life and whilst it might be difficult to see, there are options and new adventures - further study, travelling, working and apprenticeships. In a few years time people won’t ask “what’s your score?”, they’ll be asking “what are you doing?”.

Take some time now to have a break and consider the options.
